[She hasn't been around too long, but already it feels like she's been on quite the adventure. A lot has happened so far between the traveling, reuniting with her sister, and all sorts of glorious things. Now she's got some good news for some of her new friends so she's quite excited when she turns her feed on.]

Rikku - I meant to show you before, but I got distracted. You know that cute red pokemon you have? Vulpix? I have one too.

[To prove it she swivels the feed to show off her Vulpix who was neatly curled up nearby cleaning one paw fastidiously.]

Only I'm still not really sure how I have one. She just showed up in my stuff one day out of nowhere.

[The feed's focus changes again skimming over her Eevee and Sentret who were currently keeping each other company to focus in on a extremely cheerful looking Hoppip who seems to be splashing about in a puddle of water.]

How do you train a pokemon that only knows how to splash? I've been trying, but nothing seems to work.

[The Hoppip, named Mog, continues to splash on cheerfully completely oblivious to the fact that she's being talked about. Serah almost ends the feed, but right before she does she remembers one more thing.]

Lacus, are you still in Violet? Because we should get together if you are.

[ACTION]

[After the video Serah can be found tending her miniature menagerie of pokemon. Something that's not too hard since they're all extremely well tempered. If one waits long enough they'll get to witness Mog accidentally splashing Serah quite liberally with water much to the amusement of all her other pokemon. Well, except for her Vulpix who is staying far, far away from that water stuff thanks muchly.]

I'd say we could work together, but I'm pretty sure you'd just be giving me pointers more than anything else.

I wouldn't mind. Bet there're things you could teach me, too.

I hadn't thought about it like that. You might know more about pokemon than me, but there are plenty of things I can teach you!

[And so the plot for cooking shenanigans was born.]

I'll look forward to whatever lessons you've got, in that case.

[Yes, teach him to make something other than sandwiches and pudding mix]

Well, I like cooking? [It's not much, but it's better than nothing.]

[This is something she's able to do. So that works.]

Cooking, huh? I made chocolate with Lightning a while back for a holiday, but I can't say I know much else.

[Cooking's a good skill, he can appreciate it]

You cooked with Lightning? And it came out okay?

[She's just joking, because she's heard about Lightning's chocolate exploits by now.]

I did most of the cooking back home, Light's job always kept her really busy.

Minnie gave me a lot of pointers, so those helped. I think Lightning and I are both pretty new at it.

[New being the kind way of putting it, but at least they didn't blow anything up]

Is it tough work being a soldier? It's always seemed like it's gotta be...

Lightning's... not really much of a cook.

[She'd never really had a reason to gain such a skill set, so it only makes sense that she's not so good at it.]

It certainly seemed that way to me, but she seemed to really like it.

I got that feeling. Honestly, I'm not much better, myself. Training was what I focused on most.

[That's true. One can't be good at everything, and Lightning has plenty of other skills]

Being a soldier does seem to suit her.

Not me, I had school, and then when I wasn't there I tried to take care of stuff around the house.

[Exactly!]

It really does, doesn't it? I'm glad she found something she was good at.

[Ven's quiet for a few moments as he considers that, watching the clouds]

You two seem so different, but I can tell you have just as many things in common.

Of course we're different. [She has to laugh at that, Sorry Ven.] We're sisters, not clones, silly.

[He doesn't mind at all, besides she has a nice laugh. A smile on a friend's face is better than a frown]

Clones...I think somebody thought me and Roxas were like that once...

But what I mean is, there're things you and Lightning really have in common.

[If he said that, she'd try extra hard to keep smiling, but that might not be a good thing in the long run.]

I think it annoys her sometimes, mostly when she remembers that I'm just as stubborn as she is.

[Could lead to a sore face indeed, but he'll try and give her reasons to smile when he can]

Wouldn't surprise me if you were right, I know she's pretty determined about things. But sometimes I think disagreeing and being stubborn about it can be a good thing in the end.

[Then there's also the question of if it's a real smile or just a smile there, for the sake of other people. Which is never a good situation.]

We get along okay, but we still fight a lot. Sometimes it's a good thing and sometimes it isn't, but that's just how it works.

[True indeed. Better to smile because one simply feels like smiling]

Aqua told me once that people usually argue because they care. Brothers and sisters are like that, right?

That's right. You should see how everyone in Nora argues. It's really funny sometimes!

It's funny, really?

Sometimes. Everyone in Nora's like family, so some of the arguments get really silly after a while.
