Hey, sorry it's been a while. Things got really crazy for a bit there. I wanted to tell you about Snow though, he evolved!

[She turns the feed to focus on an Espeon as way of explanation, Lacus might notice that he's more or less curled around what could only be two eevee eggs.]

I haven't talked to you in a while so I just wanted to make sure you were okay after everything that happened.

I guess I shouldn't be too surprised, after all it seems to happen pretty often, but we've got eggs!

[She's seriously happy about this, because as far as she's concerned this is all so amazing. Snow's going to have babies! It's nice to have some good news for once after...everything that's happened lately]

I can't wait for them to hatch, so I can meet them.

[There's a quiet 'hmph' in the background, and the camera shifts to show Lightning, still on her bed, with an Absol in her lap. After all that's happened? ...yeah she's grumpy and the eggs didn't help matters much.]

You know we can't keep them, Serah. It'll be easier to just give them away now, before you get attached.

[The feed doesn't change angles as Serah answers her older sister.]

Of course I'm going to keep them. I can't give Snow's kids away. Look at him!

[The feed does change then, to show an Espeon who's curled up near two eggs protectively.]

We can't separate them, Lightning! We just can't!

And what do you intend to do with two Eevees? It's not like we've got the room to keep them, and your team is already full. Will you just start not paying attention to the others?

[Grumpy, cranky...just noticing the gear is still on and she makes a "tch" sound.]

Turn that off. We're not having this conversation for everyone to hear.

That's right. He evolved right in the middle of that poison pokemon attack. It was amazing!

[Poison pokemon are weak to psychic attacks after all, so Snow practically wiped the floor clean so to speak.]

[Serah's taking her happiness when and where she can find it right now. If that means really embracing the little things, then that's what she's going to do.]

I'm fine. Lightning wanted to make me stay at the house but... [Her tone turns slightly wistful here. She hadn't known Leon long, but she missed him all the same.] Leon talked her into letting me help too. Then they both loaded me down with pokemon. It was weird working with all those super strong pokemon when I'm used to my own team.

Still in Olivine! We've been here for a while now. It's really nice here.

Lightning is just trying to protect you. You are her sister ... I am sure this is one way she believes she can protect you. I think it is a very sweet gesture. It shows how much she cares for you.

[ Lacus didn't have siblings herself, but her father had been sometimes quite ridiculous with all the restrictions he puts on her. She does understand his intentions, but sometimes she really does go off to do what her heart tells her. ]

Olivine ... Oh! I have seen it before when a friend of mine showed it to me through the gear.

I would ... very much love to visit there one day.

I know that. She was all I had for the longest time, and I can be really protective of her sometime. I just wish she'd see that sometimes I can take care of myself now, too.


[The joys of dealing with well meaning parental figures, not that Serah minds for the most part.]

If you visit, we can go spend some time at the beach. That'd be fun.

Again, I wish I had a sibling I could proudly say that I was as close with as the two of you are.

I believe the closest one I can call my sibling is probably Athrun. He is terribly protective in his own way too.

Maybe you don't have any siblings, but at least you have your dad, right? So it's not all bad.

[There are days Serah can hardly remember her parents anymore after all.]

Athrun? I wonder if I've met him yet. If he's close to you, he must be a good person.

[ Pause. ] Actually, Serah ... he died two years before I came here.

So, Athrun ... is probably the closest thing to a sibling, but I do have ... Kira now.

We actually used to live by the sea ... so I understand how much of a joy it is.

I'm sorry. You probably miss him a lot.

Then when you visit we'll definitely have to spend time at the beach.

I do. Kira is the one I love.

Knowing ... that he is fine and doing so well at home is enough for me. I believe that we will see each other again.
