Hey, sorry it's been a while. Things got really crazy for a bit there. I wanted to tell you about Snow though, he evolved!

[She turns the feed to focus on an Espeon as way of explanation, Lacus might notice that he's more or less curled around what could only be two eevee eggs.]

I haven't talked to you in a while so I just wanted to make sure you were okay after everything that happened.

I guess I shouldn't be too surprised, after all it seems to happen pretty often, but we've got eggs!

[She's seriously happy about this, because as far as she's concerned this is all so amazing. Snow's going to have babies! It's nice to have some good news for once after...everything that's happened lately]

I can't wait for them to hatch, so I can meet them.

[There's a quiet 'hmph' in the background, and the camera shifts to show Lightning, still on her bed, with an Absol in her lap. After all that's happened? ...yeah she's grumpy and the eggs didn't help matters much.]

You know we can't keep them, Serah. It'll be easier to just give them away now, before you get attached.

[The feed doesn't change angles as Serah answers her older sister.]

Of course I'm going to keep them. I can't give Snow's kids away. Look at him!

[The feed does change then, to show an Espeon who's curled up near two eggs protectively.]

We can't separate them, Lightning! We just can't!

And what do you intend to do with two Eevees? It's not like we've got the room to keep them, and your team is already full. Will you just start not paying attention to the others?

[Grumpy, cranky...just noticing the gear is still on and she makes a "tch" sound.]

Turn that off. We're not having this conversation for everyone to hear.

[And so without any further comment from Serah, the feed goes dark. Sorry everyone! Responses might be Serah, Lightning, or both depending.]

[See this look, Serah? Your sister's about as cranky as a cooked Cactuar and it shows. She's in no mood for shenanigans...and she's still waiting for that answer. You wouldn't leave your big sister hanging, would you?]

[They've both been through a lot lately and it shows. Serah's mouth is set in what can only be called a cross between a frown and a pout as she answers her sister.]

I'll think of something! I can't just sell them or give them away, Lightning! Maybe if there's more, it'd be okay for them, but I'm not giving away Snow's first children.

[They've been through a lot, they're both tired, and tempers are flaring. Lightning has to force herself to keep her temper in check and she raises a brow at Serah's expression. You going to pull that card, bbsis?]

Then what do you plan to do? Because we'll have to move on from here eventually and babies aren't easy to care for on the move.

I know it won't be easy, but that doesn't mean I can't try! It's not like I'll have to do this alone, Snow will help.

[As relaxed as he was, it was becoming clear that he took this father thing pretty damn seriously from the start. When he hears his name he looks up and his trainer what's basically a nod. Of course he'd help her, she was his trainer!]

Just because something's hard or inconvenient, doesn't mean we should give up on it.

[Lightning looks away at that, obviously reminded of something, but it's only for a moment before she looks back at Serah. She won't be alone, true, because Lightning will help and so will Snow, but...]

You didn't answer my question. What's your plan, Serah?

[Serah's quiet for a moment, but in the end there's really only one way she can answer that.]

I don't know. [She looks up at her sister, face set into stubborn lines.] But I'll think of something!

[She doesn't know. Of course she doesn't know. Serah's never been one to plan ahead and that makes Lightning frown.]

Like what? Keeping them and then never leaving Olivine? You need to have some kind of plan before you get more attached than you already are. It'll be much easier to cut ties now.

[Because she knows little ones are cute and it's hard to give them away. She knows! And she knows her sister, too, so of course there'll be a problem.]

Of course not! They might be babies, but that doesn't mean they can't travel. They can always stay in pokeballs when we're on the road or I'm sure Maqui wouldn't mind giving them a ride on his back!

[Yes, she's scrambling for ideas, don't mind her. Also did she ever tell Lightning about that Deerling she'd found wandering around?]

[Don't mind her? Oh, of course not. She's just trying to keep her sister from having her heart broken if this goes badly, that's all...and no, she doesn't know about the Deerling. Oh, goodness.]

And how do you plan to raise them properly when you've got your hands full with the rest of your team as it it? I don't think Snow's going to be able to help very much.

[Considering he seems to have made it his mission to keep Serah safe and all...and that's a task and a half.]

[Note to self: Don't tell sister about Yuj unless you actually have to. Though as soon as Lightning sees her training him, it'll be out in the open anyway. Darn.]

The same way I raise all of my other pokemon. Take one day at a time and do what's best for each of them individually.

[Which in some cases, means not training them. Like her poor Hoppip who just isn't cut out for battling. Claire.... more than any of her other babies, is going to need some time to grow up. Even her smoochum is more battle ready and she's the youngest.]

[Keep Yuj a secret for as long as possible. It's the best idea ever....until she finds out about him and things go to hell and back. Oh dear.]

And have you considered that you may not have the time to do things that way? Have you considered that because you have so many already, they might suffer staying with us?

[A pause as she waits, trying to get a lid back on her temper all the while. Yes, it's been a terrible week and she just wants things to stop going south. No, that's no reason to take it out on Serah of all people.]

[But Light! He was cute and lost! Not to mention She needed a better grass type pokemon anyway. It was for a reason!]

Then I'll make the time! It's not like I have much else to do, but take care of them right now.

[They've had a rough time of it lately and both of their tempers are starting to fray. It's almost unavoidable really, but at least if it's each other it'll be easier to make up later?]

[She can agree with the need of a better grass type because Mog is...well. Mog, but still! You've got enough trouble to deal with as it is! Don't take on more!]

You make the time, but what pays that price? Or who? You can't just assume things are going to go well because you want them to, and you know that.

[Easier, perhaps. And this is definitely not as bad as Lightning's 21st birthday. Man that one was a mess!]

I can handle this, Lightning! Baby pokemon are a lot easier to deal with than some of the students I had on Pulse.

[Her lips thin slightly as she stares at her sister. Nope, not going to budge sis. Not this time.]

[Serah's not going to budge, Lightning's not going to budge...brick wall meets brick wall and there's only one way this can end. Messily.]

Fine. But don't come running to me if things don't go the way you want them to.

[She...may not be serious. But she probably is. At least it's not as bad as it could be?]

Fine then! [She narrows her eyes, scowling up at her older sister stubbornly.] I won't.

[This'll blow over well.]

[Serah's stubborn scowl is met with a very unimpressed look from her sister, Lightning's mouth pressed in a thin line that shows no signs of budging. Two can play at this stubborn game, sister dear.

...this is going to blow over so well.]

[This is Serah's cue to stomp off isn't it. PS: She's taking the eggs with her. So there.]

[Also Snow totally just frowned at her, enjoy that Lightning. Being joked by a pokemon.]
