[Serah Farron - 001 Video] The beginning of it all (New Bark)
[The camera feed swings around slightly as it shows a young woman squinting at a door in confusion in between trying to figure out what had just happened. This doesn't make sense at all.]
Go on a journey? But I already was! Where's Noel? and Mog?
[The camera feed finally gets straightened out so that Serah can into it with a completely baffled look on her face.]
What happened? This doesn't look like anywhere on Pulse at all. Time couldn't have changed things this much, could it? Noel....what's going on!?
[Of course he's not exactly around to answer her.]
I hope they're both okay wherever they are. I wonder what happened, maybe something went wrong? Or maybe...
[Maybe jumping into a supposed time portal with the guy she'd met only yesterday had been a bad idea. No, she's not going to doubt him so easily. She can't afford to give up yet. After all he'd promised that- hey wait a minute that's it!]
Lightning! [He'd promised to take her to see her sister! So that means she has to be here! Suddenly her expression changes and she stares into the camera with a hopeful look on her face] If anyone's watching does anyone know a woman named Lightning Farron? Please, it's really important!
[Oh wait, she's leaving one lousy first impression isn't she. Though the shivering she's doing probably isn't very impressive either. She's dressed for Bodhum weather not this... whatever this is.]
Oh, I'm so sorry! My name's Serah Farron and I guess it's probably pretty obvious that I'm new to wherever this is. So you see, Lightning's my big sis and I haven't seen her in a really long time. So if anyone could help me I'd really appreciate it. Thank you!
[Okay, now she can turn it off. She'd figure out what to say before she turned it on next time. For now it's off to find somewhere warm, because it's clear that lady isn't going to let her back in.]

Well then, where should we start?
Nearly every country in my world does trade business with China, too, making it a great economic power.
[History is her favorite subject after all so a place with lots of culture and history is right up her alley.]
Well I grew up in Cocoon, a place that was like it's own little world. We didn't really have a sky, because if you looked close you could see the other side of Cocoon always in the distance. Not that it wasn't nice! Cocoon was comfortable, because the L'cie made sure it was.
I lived with my sister in Bodhum, not too far from a beach. At least I did before the fall. You probably know all about this though, right?
[She smiles.]
Now I love on Pulse, which is completely differen from Cocoon. When you look up at the sky it feels like you can see forever. There are wild monsters and we have to do things for ourselves, but it's still a really nice place.
[He also smiles.] Yes, I remember you mentioning Cocoon and Pulse. I believe you mentioned the L'cie before too, but could you refill me on detail? If you don't mind, that is.
[video] wow that glaring typo there. Just pretend that said Fal'cie, yes? ;A;
[Though she should really be over her need to explore random places, it got her into trouble once already.]
Well Fal'Cie are a pretty complicated topic, but it's hard to talk about Cocoon without talking about the Fal'Cie who created it and keep it going.
[This time as she talks she falls into a sort of teacher's lecture mode, because Cocoon and Fal'Cie are things she's talked to her students about innumerable times. Sadly she can't go super into detail about awesome things like Etro and the like, because she hasn't experienced them yet.]
A long time ago the Fal'Cie created Cocoon as a way to look after humanity. Ever since then they'd taken care of us. They monitored the weather, made sure we had energy, food, and all the basic things of life that we took for granted when I was growing up.
The opposite of Cocoon was Pulse, or at least that's what we were always taught. Cocoon was civilization and Pulse was wild, heathen lands that were like hell on earth. Pulse was full of monsters and anything or anyone living there had only one goal - the destruction of Cocoon.
Several years ago now, I was exploring an ancient vestige and stumbled across a Pulse Fal'Cie on Cocoon. This Fal'cie branded me and started off a chain of events that would lead to the end of the world as we knew it.
[She stops then, looking a little flushed in the cheeks.]
I feel a little silly explaining this to someone who already knows about what I'm talking about.
